You are probably already active on LinkedIn. You’ve used it to connect with your network. You are using it to monitor who’s doing what. Did you know you can use it to monitor the tweets from people in your network too?
Logging into Twitter, Tweetdeck or whatever your program of choice, takes time and you have to remember the password. Being able to use LinkedIn saves some time. Now, there is no excuse for not having a consistent presence on Twitter. And you can keep an eye on what’s going on with your contacts.
Finding who you are looking for is generally the toughest part of the battle. LinkedIn has made this incredibly easy–well, for Twitter users at least. Here is the announcement about the LinkedIn Blog: Find and Follow Your LinkedIn Connections on Twitter
I was able to add almost 20 people to the Twitter followers who were part of my LinkedIn network, but who I didn’t know were on Twitter. Talk about an easy way to find people!
In order to take advantage of this Twitter sync, you need to install the Tweets application. The link to do this is in the blog post above. And in case you are wondering, it is free.
