TED conferences: Branding at its best!

I would like to share something I have enjoyed and learned a lot from.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

I have been watching TED conferences for the past few years and learned more from them than many classes at school. I never realized until I got into personal branding, that these people are completely “Branded” by what they do and that they love it! They get on stage and talk about various topics that most people would never dream of caring about or even want to listen too and spin it into something amazing that everyone can enjoy and learn from. This is personal branding at it’s best I feel, because everyone who gets up to speak is a thought leader in their own niche and it’s amazing how they can inspire the audience into loving what they love. The speakers range from previous presidents like Bill Clinton talking about his charity to rebuilding Rwanda, to Sir Ken Robinson who has a very compelling argument on how schools kill creativity.

I hope everyone takes the time to explore their site TED, and download their Podcasts for FREE on Itunes!

With a mission like “Spreading Ideas.” how can you go wrong?

    Hey Olaito!

Thank you for your comment and I hope that you enjoy watching the videos as much as I do. I hope that you really take the time to watch them and try to learn as much as you can, especially how each person who speaks has branded themselves as a thought leader in their field.

    Best,
