Hi Keith,

Thank you for the feedback. Lunch, coffee and breakfast are underestimated forms of meeting with the right people. Everyone has to eat. Here is a great book on the subject: "Never Eat Alone" http://www.amazon.com/dp/0385512058/theryngro-20

I could not agree more with the importance of building your face-to-face network. Social networking is a tool but you build relationships by taking the next steps, offline. By using your suggestions on Facebook and LinkedIn events, you are able to see where professionals connect which becomes the perfect platform to connect.

Instead of finding events, why not meet your LinkedIn connections or Facebook friends for breakfast, lunch or coffee just to meet up, talk and possibly exchange ideas. It is amazing at what may transpire from such conversations.
